Steve Tarani

Professional educator, author and keynote speaker Steve Tarani has served the United States defense, law enforcement and intelligence communities for over 35 years as a respected subject-matter expert and service provider in protection, firearms and defensive tactics to high and low-profile federal agencies. Tarani is a former fulltime Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) protective programs employee and was formerly on staff at the US Department of Energy (DOE) National Security Institute (Security Force Training Department) at Kirtland Air Force Base (NM). He is formerly sworn and is a federally certified firearms instructor who has been on staff at Gunsite Academy for over 20 years and is formerly an adjunct instructor at the SIG Arms Academy (NH) for over 16 years. Tarani is also the published author of nine books and contributes monthly to numerous firearms industry periodicals. He remains a private-sector protective agent, member of InfraGard and serves on the National Sheriffs’ Association School Safety and Security Committee.

Max Michel

Max Michel, Jr. is a 10 year US Army Veteran and one of the most dominant shooters in the world today. He is a Guinness World Record holder and IPSC World Champion (World Shoot XVII). Also, with seven World Speed Shooting Championships, Thirteen USPSA National Championships, seven US Steel National Championships, and more than 250 Major Championship victories, Max Michel has become a dominant force in the pistol shooting sports and pistol mounted optics. Michel also owns multiple World Speed Shooting records as well as the first Action Shooter to win all USPSA Area Championships in the same season (2010). As an international competitor, Michel has represented the United States in the last eight International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoots and returned home each time with team gold medals.
